[comp.sys.mac.programmer] Getting Oic

mec@mtfmi.att.com (M.CONNICK) (05/25/89)

To the zillions of people who sent me mail asking for copies of OIC:

I plan on obtaining a copy of BinHex 4 (I've only got BinHex 5) this
weekend and will mail copies off to all who have requested it. If
anyone who requested it also has access to ARPANET, I'd appreciate it
if they forwarded a copy to sumex for inclusion in the Mac archives.

Dear Mr. Connick,
My name is John Wainwright, the author of OIC. I originally put it up on Compuserve and a couple of MUG BBS's but haven't been able to keep complete track of its meanderings. If you need help distributing it in various forms, let me know - I have SIT forms, ARC forms (for IBM) and plain old ascii forms for Unix boxes.
Why do you need BinHex 4, by the way, its up on the various nets in Stuffit 1.5 format. (I am talking to you through the BMUG gateway).
Please give me a call if you are acting as some kind of agent for the stuff as I'd like to see what people are doing with it and help if I can.
I am working on a substantial set of classes for application developmen along the lines of NextStep of which I am very proud. They should be out in
beta soon and maybe you know of some potential beta testers.
Regards, John Wainwright
