Ok, I know I'm going to get flamed for dredging up old material, but I really need the info, so here goes... We're running a small AppleShare (v2.01) network with two volumes. Recently, one of the users put a folder onto one of the volumes and now we are unable to delete it. With ResEdit, I was able find that the folder has the Locked, Inited, System, Bozo, and Invisible attributes marked. When I tried to unmark them, I got a file locked error and the attributes were left unchanged. Now, I remember many moons ago about someone else having trouble with one of these phantom folders and I am hoping someone now can tell me how to get rid of this folder. Some specs: The server is running on a Mac II with 2MB RAM and 40MB of disk space. It runs with System 6.02 and no concurrent applications are being run. We recently (as of this morning) have the same problem... A folder and a file on the AShare server refuse to be deleted. Not only that, but the folder (which contains a 3K text document) can't be opened... There seems to be a bug in AShare 2.01... Solution: back-up the server, reformat hard drive, restore all but corrupted files.. A pain, but it works. b.bum wb1j+@andrew.cmu.edu
