OK, I narrowed my problem down to something I know someone can answer. The TextBegin PICT comment contains a record of type TTxtPicRec. One of the fields, tJus, specifies the justification of the text. The values it takes are "0, 1, 2, 3, 4 or greater => none, left, center, right, full justification." But if you use 2 for center and paste it into MacDraw 1.9.5, you get a command symbol next to the Center menu item instead of a checkmark. Using ResEdit, I found that MacDraw actually uses a 6 for center. I tried this and it works. Are these higher constants documented somewhere? MacDraw also uses 2 for single spacing when my old tech note says to use 1. Other programs accept both 2 or 6 and 1 or 2 so it must be documented somewhere. Could someone explain this? +++ Lloyd Lim Internet: lim@iris.ucdavis.edu (128.120.57.20) Compuserve: 72647,660 US Mail: 146 Lysle Leach Hall, U.C. Davis, Davis, CA 95616
