I'm a C programmer new to the Mac and floundering horribly. As usual, don't have time to slowly master each bit(!) of the toolbox, but must come up with some workable code NOW. My current difficulty is with color manipulation on the Mac II. Assuming that I can somehow construct either a pltt or a CPAL resource, could someone give me a simple example that will do the following: Open a color window; apply a different color palette/ table to the window; and restore the system palette when through. What exactly is the difference between a 'table' and a 'palette'? Ditto a CPAL, a CLUT, and a pltt. Any references that treat color in depth would be much appreciated, 'though I'm sadly coming to the conclusion that there ain't no such animal. Am using Lightspeed C and have access to MPW.
