Has anyone out there used the Think LSP profiler? My partner and I just spent two days sorting out some very strange and mysterious problems that just disappeared when we got rid of the profiler. Some of the problems were with WITH statements "forgetting" which record they were using, proc pointer addresses not being valid at the strangest times, dialog user items not being drawn, and many crashes. Debugging this was an exercize in frustration. We started out thinking that we were just a bit thick and that we simply must be missing something. We ended up thinking that the profiler was a piece of refuse to be avoided at all costs. We still need some timing analysis, but the Think profiler seems way too dangerous to use. Anyone have any hints or suggestions? -- _______________________________________________________________________________ Chris Muir | "There is no language in our lungs {hplabs, pacbell, ucbvax, apple} | to tell the world just how we feel" !well!cbm | - A.
