Greetings, The question of the day is: How can one search for and open an application from an INIT, DA, or another application. Does one use the same command as opening a file? Is it possible in Pascal, or does it require assembly language? How does finder startup work, and how do alternative finder systems open and close applications. How does Hypercard open applications and then manage to return after the application quits (how does it do it)? I would like to write an INIT that searches for and opens a selected application on bootup (yes, I know set startup does that already; this would be the building block for some of my other ideas).
