Greetings, I seem to be having some trouble with async device calls running under MF. I'm using the old sound mgr and sound playing technique described in TN #19, which in a nutshell tells how to play continous sound so as not to get the clicks. I've discovered that MF has its own way of handling VBL's. So, along comes TN #180, which describes how to bring your A5 world with you no matter where you may venture. But something is still not quite right. MF seems to be switching (minor?) my VBL out. I don't produce sound when I want it, but I know my VBL is still intact, because if I do a major switch of applications, then switch my application back in I do get sound for a few secs before MF switches, kills, hides, kidnaps, or does something with it. I believe I'm handling WNE properly and I've tried different SIZE (-1) configs. but it's always the same story. Any gentle nudges or swift kicks in the right direction would be helpful.
