How do you get the vRefNum of the current System Folder? I am writing a program that needs to open/create a file in the System folder without user intervention. [ If this is in IM IV, please don't flame me. I'm going to get it, just as soon as I can afford to. Ahh.. student life.] --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Bradley Kish kish@enel.ucalgary.ca ---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Use SysEnvirons to get the current blessed folder. There is another technical note to get the blessed folder of volumes other than the current startup volume Hope this helps. +-----------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | Disclaimer: Apple has no connection with my postings. | +-----------------------------------------------------------------------------+ Byron Han, Communications Scapegoat At Apple, we change the world everyday.
