[net.micro] Wanted: CRT anti-glare screen

From: Tim Gonsalves <Fat.Tag@SU-SIERRA.ARPA>

I am looking for an inexpensive anti-glare screen for a terminal. A few years
ago, Heathkit offered one for the H-19 for about $20. They no longer stock it
and could only tell me that it was made in San Rafael, CA. Any leads would
be appreciated. (I have seen various screens advertised in computer supply
catalogs for > $100 but am looking for something cheaper).

					Thanks,

As it turns out, Digital sells a very nice anti-glare filter, and it
only costs $20 in single quantity. Actually, they have more expensive
kinds, but I found the lowest priced one to work well enough in a room where
the screen faced a 16 foot long picture window. At least, with the filter
on I could read the screen, which was totally unreadable in strong daylight
without the filter. Anyway, it is listed in the DECdirect catalog. Call
800-258-1710 for a catalog, order forms, etc.
	Enjoy,
