As part of a program that I'm developing on the macintosh, I have need for what could best be described as a 'simple terminal window'. What I need is a window that can handle such requests as "goto XY" (for text, as with the rest of the requests), "clear to End-Of-Line", "clear to End-of-Screen", and "Clear Screen". Further, I would like to be able to have the window gracefully scroll up *one* line when new text is added to the bottom (rather than the bizarre Toolbox scroll-zero-or-1/2-page behaviour). The window can either be a TE window or not, though using a TE window has the advantage that it's a lot easier to refresh upon window rewrite events. Any suggestions? Sample code? etc etc. Thanks a lot for your help, oh net-folk!! -- Dave Taylor Intuitive Systems San Francisco, CA taylor@limbo.intuitive.com { apple, decwrl } !limbo!taylor
