Hi,
I am writing a program in MacApp 2.0b5, and am trying to open documents
which exist on an AppleShare network. When I try to open them, either with
the Open... menu choice, or by an internal means which calls
gApplication.OpenOld, I get Error -193 (Can't open resource file).
This also messes with the file-system, because even after I quit, the system
thinks that the file is busy (sort of like it half opened the file, then
forgot about it).
This same program works fine when run from a hard disk or floppy. The only
trouble is that it must be on the network so that students can access it.
Has anybody else had this or a similar problem? I thought that AppleShare
volumes were supposed to appear exactly like normal disks.
By the way, the AppleShare folders I had the documents in had read/write, etc
privledges.
Puzzled,
