[comp.sys.mac.programmer] xDEF code on CompuServe?

mnkonar@manyjars.SRC.Honeywell.COM (Murat N. Konar) (09/20/89)

I recall reading someplace that source for Apple's
standard MDEF and WDEF are available on Compu$erve
and/or Genie. If this is true, could some kind
soul send me a copy of each? I'd like the CDEFs
too, if they're available.

Many thanks in advance.

P.S. if there are restrictions on distribution of such
code, could someone at least confirm availability?

The assemembly language source code for Apple's standard WDEFs, MDEF, and
CDEFs are available on MacNet, and probably at Apple itself via ftp:
_>Apple.com is the host (IP 130.43.2.2)
_>Account=anonymous Password=guest
_>Look in ~ftp/pub/dts for the various directories
_>Check out dts/help/files-dir-all for a complete listing of all the
_>files. Also read /dts/README for a description of the archive.

I couldn't find it under dts/mac. I expect it won't be available as
long as such things as ResEdit remain unavailable for legal reasons.
