Hello everyone: I am considering delving into the world of INITs on the Mac and need some help. Basically, I want to try to build an INIT that performs the same functions as OnCue (ie one can build a menu of applications and launch them as he wishes from under multifinder). The questions I have are: 1) How can I get an Icon to appear in the menubar, and stay there throughout the time the machine is on? I want the Icon to appear in the right hand corner of the screen. 2) Once the Icon is placed, how do I get the mouse events to activate it? Must I capture the events before the current application does (and if so, HOW?). Or is there some easy way of patching this into the Menu Manager, so the it is handled as a menu selection?? Any pointers you could give me would be appreciated (code would be great as well, either in C or Pascal. I don't know the assembler well enough to understand asm code, but I'll learn it if necessary). If there is enough interest, I'll post the results to the net.
