It used to be that when you copied a file the finder did NOT copy the Bozo's bits setting, thus on the new file {the copy} the Bozo bit wouldn't be set, that application could then check this bit, and if it wasn't set it would know that it was a copy and not run... I don't know what's happened to the Bozo bit these days, but I'll go home and research it some and let you know if you're interested...
