I have set up a MacOops FTP site here. You can reach it at coral.hss.cmu.edu or 128.2.229.218. I have placed a set of TCP routines on it. The MPW C routines are a library I use regularly. Included is source and a 'finger' tool. The tool should give you an example of how to use the drivers. For Think C I have donated a CTCPStream object and methods. To use the MacTCP drivers with Think C you must make a few changes in the header files and dnr code included with the drivers. Look out for anything declared 'int'; change them to long. The type-casting of 'pascal void' functions in the TCPPB.h header must be changed to 'void' to compile. I strongly suggest you make copies of the headers and dnr code, compile them and fix the errors to be familiar with them. I cannot make them available publicly because of the Apple copyright (not everything is free). Please be patient with the FTP speed. The server is my lowly Vaxstation 2000 running ultrix which I'm on it constantly. Perhaps I'll move the ftp site to a VMS machine later. The newsgroup is still forming. Things are picking up. I got a suggestion that comp.sys.mac.programmer.macoops is too long. I also would have to get it washed. So the group will be called MacOops. Maybe more official status will be achieved later. So hang on, its comming. I will send out a distribution soon to test the addresses I have been sent. If you want to recieve it, be sure to tell me where to mail it to. Some places, such as CMU, have central Bboards to archive to posts and cut down on duplication. Matt Mashyna Macintosh Initiative, H&SS Dean's Office Carnegie Mellon
