[comp.sys.mac.programmer] TechNotes Stack update?

schabtac@stout.ucar.edu (11/01/89)

How do the folks at Apple DTS update the Tech Notes stack? Do you plan to
release a new stack with every release of new Notes? My reason for asking is
that I'm wondering whether I should download the current stack from
apple.com, or wait for a new one to magically appear. I got the latest
batch of notes from comp.binaries.mac; it would be great to get a new,
comprehensive stack, too.

By the way: the TN and Q&A stacks are great -- thanks a bunch, Apple DTS!

Given that 3.2 of the stack will be out within 3 weeks I would wait and
get it when it is released. There are a lot of new features, some fixes
to bugs and user interface, and updates through October 1989.

Although we will be putting out an updater at some point (no promises as
to when yet), we will still be making a comprehensive stack available
at all times for those who don't like or distrust an updater.

Glad you like them, and we hope you'll like the newer ones even more. As
always, if you have suggestions or complaints, let us know. Hope this
helps.
