I have just encountered a really strange problem. I have a Dove MaraThon accelerator card in my Mac SE and I have installed System 6.0.4 and MasterJuggler (and a bunch of other inits, but these doesn't seem to matter). The prescense of MasterJuggler seems to turn off the FPU for me (this is MasterJuggler 1.14 of March 17 1989) and it is impossible to turn it back on using the Marathon cdev. I have not tested the two inits with any other system version. One would think that this is not so bad, apart from the loss of speed in a few applications but - and this is weird - it causes THINK Pascal to "Unexpectedly quit" with error no. 16 (Floating point error). I can understand that Mathematica and other programs that are specially compiled to use the FPU does this, but THINK Pascal?? I might add that I've installed the latest patch which makes it version 2.03. If anyone has answers to one or several of these problems, please let me know +-------------------------+--------------------------------+------------------+ | Sven Axelsson | d83_sven_a@tekno.chalmers.se | DISCLAIMER: | | dep:t of Linguistics | (^^ best ^^) | | | univ. of Gothenburg | dlv_sa@hum.gu.se | This is not | | SWEDEN | usdsa@seguc21.bitnet | a disclaimer. | +-------------------------+--------------------------------+------------------+
