[comp.sys.mac.programmer] 32bit QD help request

rpaul@dasys1.UUCP (Rod Paul) (12/01/89)

Hi, well my latest stumbling block is 32bitQD. Could someone point me in the
direction of documentation, where to get etc., and if possible fragments of
C source pertaining to allocating and displaying 32bit images.

Thanks.

APDA sells "Macintosh System Software 32-Bit Quickdraw v. 1.0" for $30 and has
the product number M0572LL/A and is listed on page C-48 of the Fall APDALog.
It comes with the 32-Bit Quickdraw documentation describing how to use the
off-screen support, updates to the Palette Manager, new Color Picker options,
Control Panel monitor extensions, new Slot Manager info and new video driver
information. I believe it also comes with MPW assembly, Pascal, and C
interfaces, but I'm not sure of that.

The complete set of 32-Bit QuickDraw documentation is also available on the
release version of "Phil & Dave's Excellent CD", due out in about 2 weeks.

If we can get permission from the appropriate people, we'll post it on
AppleLink and the FTP site. No promises they will let us, but we will try.
