Bell Atlantic Knowledge Systems (BAKS) is an advanced software engineering
company. Our mission is to design, develop and deliver software products
for Fortune 1000 companies. These products often include LASER,
our environment for development and delivery of Expert Systems.
Company expansion requires additional software engineers for our Morgan-
town, WV facility. These positions are for work on LASER product
development and for work on commercial applications.
Our ideal candidate has: Extensive software engineering and development
experience in 'C'; Broad background in computer science; BS-CS with 4
years or MS-CS with 2 years minimum experience. In addition, you have
specific experience in one or more of the following areas:
o AI/Expert Systems development and Rule Production programming;
Developing and delivering commercial expert systems; Use of
commercial expert systems tool preferred
o Technical writing experience, especially for proposals, and user
and reference manuals.
o Interface development using X11 windows
o Macintosh 'C' windows programming; Hypercard is helpful
o Communication programming from 'C' using TCP/IP and IPC
o Programming from 'C' with a relational DBMS (Oracle, RDB, etc.)
Morgantown, WV is a progressive, small community with an excellent
school system, advanced medical facilities, low cost of living, and is
home to West Virginia University (the Mountaineers). Skiing, fishing,
hiking are just some of the activities available in the surrounding hills.
Yet we are only 75 miles south of Pittsburgh, PA.
