I need to change what ASCII characters are generated by certain key presses. I thought this information would be easy to find, but it is not. Can someone point me to the best source of information? Inside Mac doesn't help me, but I may have missed something. Other questions: does this have to be done at boot time, or can the key map change within a program? Is there more than one place do this? My first idea was to get in ahead of the input stream, so that no one would be the wiser, but it occurs to me that there may be a rom tool that allows rapid and easy switching between keymaps.
