FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Cambridge, Mass. - Digital Media Publications, Inc. has introduced its premiere
edition of the Macintosh Yellow Pages.
The Macintosh Yellow Pages is an electronic HyperCard-based directory of all
major Macintosh products. Included is a comprehensive listing of Macintosh
software, hardware, accessories, books, CD-ROM titles, and magazines.
An extensive indexing system enables the user to instantaneously look up any
product using a wide variety of synonyms. For less experienced users, the
friendly "Personal Librarian" feature helps the user narrow down product
categories, thereby guiding users step-by-step through the searching process.
In addition to a very intuitive user interface, a tutorial animated to Mozart's
Sonata is also built in. The animated tutorial alone is an entertaining treat.
As a future extension of the Macintosh Yellow Pages, a CD-ROM version will be
released as the heavyweight business edition. It will incorporate additional
product information and digitized color images useful to the busy executive.
The entire directory of the current floppy version is squeezed onto a single
800K disk. According to Laura Marmorstein, Product Manager:
The Macintosh Yellow Pages is condensed down to one 800K floppy so
that it need not even be installed on one's hard disk to run, saving
precious hard disk space.
The Macintosh Yellow Pages is available for $39.95 directly from the publisher.
A new edition will be released each quarter. Substantial discounts will be
offered to user groups, non-profit organizations and educational institutions.
The Macintosh Yellow Pages...let your mouse do the walking.
