Here's hoping I can find some kind soul to help me out with what must be common knowledge for everyone else... I've got a UNIX box at work (from which I read news) and a Mac at home. The Mac has RedRyder, both machines have modems, and I can easily call up work from home and transfer files from one machine to the other. Now what I'd like to do is try out some things in comp.mac.binaries. What do I have to do to get this to work? I've seen mention of BinHex 4.0, Stuffit, ... Which of these do I need? If they're freeware, where can I get copies (either a BBS I can call or would someone be willing to make me a copy if I send them a disk?)? Once I have all the tools together, what procedure do I follow to get something from comp.mac.binaries onto my Mac which runs? Sorry for taking up bandwidth with such a basic question. If this info. is really so basic that noone else is going to want to see the reply, feel free to email me answers. Thanks!
