This is a second attempt, aimed at a wider audience than before: Microsoft has introduced a new FORTRAN for 8086/8088 systems such as the IBM PC. This is FORTRAN 77 version 3.x. When it first came out there were several comments posted on initial impressions. I'd like to hear more. How fast does it compile? How fast does it run without an 8087?
