What is required to write an emulator for another machine, the Atari ST, on the Mac? Obviously, since the ST is a 68000 based machine, it should be quite a bit easier than some other non-68000's. Just what sort of project would I be taking on if I were to do this? You should know that the ST is not a mac. It can emulate a mac quite nicely because mac applications are so portably written (most of them) Atari apps, though, do lots of nasties as writing directly to the screen and hardware, and depending on specific hardware "features"... the likes Apple wanted to get away from. It's not feasible. And an ST is cheap, if you want the games :-) -- --- Stay alert ! - Trust no one ! - Keep your laser handy ! --- h+@nada.kth.se == h+@proxxi.se == Jon Watte longer .sig available on request
