I've been reading Inside AppleTalk (especially the chapter on print spooling) and noticed the part on the "User authentication dialog". I'm attempting to write a print spooler on a Unix system, and we'd like to be able to control access to our laser printers. So, a couple of questions: 1) Is this "rUaSpooler" dialog done at all by the Apple LaserWriter driver? (a trace of the stuff coming into the CAP lwsrv indicates that it isn't) 2) What sequence does the AppleShare printer spooler software send to the LaserWriter to change its identification and make it "invisible"?
