Hi to all the fellow netters,
In our MacLab people keep switching startup between applications, Finder,
MultiFinder and so forth. We use MacWelcome to display an introductory
message screen. But when users change startups, they do not change it
back, and some of the users get confused with Multifinder. I have played
around with ResEdit a litle, but am not too sure if it is possible to do
what I want.
I would like to disable the set startup option under the special menu,
but I would like MacWelcome to be our default application, instead of
the Finder. Also I was told that ToMultifinder will switch to
Multifinder from the Finder mode, without a restart. I would like to
know how I can achieve this. I know some of the other lab
administrators would also benefit from this. If you email all your
suggestions to me then I will compile a summary and post it after a week
or so. Thanks in advance.
