[net.trivia] "Boxing Day" as in Bob & Doug's "12 Days"

In Bob & Doug MacKenzie's Christmas song, they try to figure out
what the 12 days of Christmas are. They come up with Christmas,
Christmas Eve, New Year and New Year's eve, Wrestling--no--Boxing
Day, 2 weekends and 3 mystery days.
I had never heard of "Boxing Day" until this. How many of you had?
How many of you know what it is? (Obviously, those in the Great
White North have an advantage on us in the US.)
