I just received MIDI Manager 1.2, installed it on my SE/30, rebooted and tried to run some of the sample applications. Not a peep. I got a truncated error message on the sample keyboard however. I made a copy, edited the dialog item and ran the copy, it said something like "MIDI Manager not responding" (I'm at work now, so I'm not positive about the wording). Looking through the supplied code I found the message where it checks for the existance of the MIDI Manager. The icon shows from the INIT on booting, and PatchBay doesn't say anything. Any suggestions? I know that I can get out to the synthesizer, because the application I want to convert, works. Hmm... sorry if this has already gone by, but any help is appreciated. -- Tom Kimpton UUCP: {uunet, caeco}!iconsys!tom Software Engineer INTERNET: tom@iconsys.uu.net or Icon International, Inc. icon@adam.byu.edu (multi-user acct) Orem, Utah 84058 PHONE: (801) 225-6888

I think my version is 1.1, its kinda hard to tell. But I don't see
this on my se30.
In the line of did you plug it in, you *did* open patch bay and
connect something didn't you? you *do* have a midi interface? you
*do* have a keyboard hooked up? In other words, you have some other
application that does talk to your rig and you did set up connections
in the patch bay? right?
