I have an application that creates a generic temporary file, fills in the data and resource forks, then renames the file and sets the creator and file type. The problem is that the finder does not change the icon or the file name until i have closed and reopened the folder. I have tried calling FlushFile and FlushVol, but this does not seem to help. Is there some special call needed to force the finder to update the displayed icons? Thanks in advance, aaron reizes Stanford University reizes@forsythe.stanford.edu
