[comp.sys.mac.programmer] Vax to MacDraw graphics

skinner@june.cs.washington.edu (Shelley Marie Skinner) (03/26/90)

Hi,

I'd like to be able to take a graphics file that was created on the Vax
and sent over to the Mac via Versaterm to a Pict format
so that we can edit it with MacDraw II (add annotation, fill the
 polygons, etc.)
We can create the VAX file using some "conventional" format,
 like Postscript for example.
The picture consists mainly of single lines and/or polygons, for now.

Is there any kind of commercial software out there that does this,
(or do I get to try to convince my company to buy me some Mac s/w
development tools so that I can become a novice Mac programmer
and do it myself ? (I wouldn't mind that, actually)).

BTW, I've tried the program Tekprint, but it captures data
at screen resolution, so when it's printed from MacDraw,
it looks awful.

Thanks a bunch in advance,

 Shelley Skinner
