Hi netters, I've just typed in the 'NewHiyer' program from Scot Knasters excellent 'Programming secrets on the Macintosh' (or something like that). It's a neat demo program that uses Heirarchical menus and styled text. The blurb says that it only runs on Mac ]['s (needs 256k roms), but I typed it in on my humble Mac+ under LSP 2.03. Running the program under LSP - fine, menus up, windows open, text styled. Sending it out as an application - BOOM, system error 11, EVEN WITH MACSBUG INSTALLED. This is the Macsbug that comes with LSP, version 5.4 I think. Here's the weird bit though, if I use Macsbug 6.1.b1 (b -> British??) I never get the system error dialog and the program runs beautifully. I've tried this with all INIT's turned off, and just the respective Macsbugs loaded, same thing: Macsbug 5.4 - System error 11 MAcsbug 6.1.b1 - fine. LSP 2.03 - fine. Question: Is there some manager that Macsbug 6.1.b1 and LSP 2.03 initialise that isn't being initialised with Macsbug 5.4?? This has taken up a lot of debug time already, with no real progress. Any ideas??? -- Tony McDonald (Tones) JANET: phd11@uk.ac.kl.seq1 ~ * ARPANET: phd11@seq1.kl.ac.uk \_/ BITNET: phd11%uk.ac.kl.seq1@ukacrl
