While BYTE is a good magazine, do not take everything it prints as gospel truth. Their review of the Commodore 64 criticized it on several points which were simply not true. It did look suspiciously like the reviewer had read the manuals but not used the computer, as anyone who had typed in a program and then listed it would know that the odd screen display which is produced when entering Basic keywords in abbreviated form is NOT reproduced when the program is listed.
