I'm trying to write a program to read MacPaint documents (among some other formats), and I can't fugure out what type of file it is. If you save it as "MacPaint" it gets a type of PNTG, and if you save as startup screen it gets a type of SCRN, neither of which is the PICT I expected. Can anyone tell me what these files are? I'll settle for either format, I don't need both except for user-friendliness. I eventually need to get this into a PicHandle, so that's best, but I'll just settle for knowledge. Apologies if this has been asked before, but I can't find it. Lots of references to MacDRAW, though.... --Chris
