I am trying to write a very simple program that registers a name on the network, and then performs a lookup for programs running of the same type. I have followed the example in IM-II under the Name Binding section, and the machine crashes when making any NBPxxx call. Would one of you point me to some sample code fragments that actually work? Thanks in advance for your help. -- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "If it ain't broke, don't fix it," and certainly don't blame me. The despair of network programming has gotten me. I am trying to implement a simple program that registers its name on an AppleTalk network. I have used the code exactly as on pp302-303 of IM-II, and the program crashes whenever I make an NBPxxx call. The program consists of only the code mentioned above. Perhaps I am missing something that is not intuitively obviuos from the reading. Would some kind sole please offer some help on this matter (sample code is highly appreciated, but not necessary)? Thanks in advance for you help. -- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "If it ain't broke, don't fix it," and certainly don't blame me.
