Hi all. Has anyone tried to implement a System 7 capable application using MacApp? How easy is it, and can it be done without modifying the original MacApp code, using inheritance and all that? -- Mark Wilkins

I understand that DPWrite and DPDraw (Edition Manager examples handed out at the Developer's Conference) were implemented in MacApp with minimal or no changes to MacApp itself. It's on my list of things to do to see if DTS can release those programs as sample code when System 7.0 becomes more generally available. If you can wait until 7.0 is final, then you'll also be able to leverage off of MacApp 2.1. This version is a 7.0 update; we're aiming for it to be available no more than 3 months after the release of 7.0 final. -- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Keith Rollin --- Apple Computer, Inc. --- Developer Technical Support INTERNET: keith@apple.com UUCP: {decwrl, hoptoad, nsc, sun, amdahl}!apple!keith "Argue for your Apple, and sure enough, it's yours" - Keith Rollin, Contusions
