[comp.sys.mac.programmer] pascal for mac

serickso@umn-d-ub.D.UMN.EDU (Scott L. Erickson) (06/29/90)

Hello,

Recently I wrote to comp.sys.mac.programmer about Pascal programming books for the Mac and Pascal language packages for the Macintosh. I would like to thank everyone who responded. Thank you.

Somebody (you know who you are, c.s.) suggested that I do a followup posting since this subject comes up frequently.

Here is a summary of the responses:
The following books were suggested (in order of number of suggestions):
	1. "Macintosh Revealed" by Stephen Chernicoff (three volume set)
	2. "Inside the Macintosh" published by Addison-Wesley (five volume set)
	3. an Intro to CS textbook by Andrew Van Dam
	4. The Turbo Pascal Tutor (without the Turbo Pascal language)

The following Pascal programming language packages were suggested:
	1. THINK Pascal package
	2. THINK's Lightspeed Pascal package

That's it. Hopefully this will help answer anybody else's questions.
