I made MENU resources specifying the sub menues and their parent menu using ResEdit 2.0 and passed -1 as the second INSERTMENU parameter but it does not insert submenus into the list for some reasons. I've decompiled the rsrc and compared it with the decompiled MENU rsrc from another applications and they look the same. Instead of the command key,that special character (sorry I forgot what it was now....) was there and the sub menu id was there on the parents' menu. YES, this must be a very simple problem but _please_ HELP me... thanx hiroshi howell (hh0x@andrew.cmu.edu)
