It seems to me that whenever you hear something positive about the pro350 (such as releasing the bus structure, Unix futures, etc.) that you hear negitives about the product. I would like to receive comments on this product. Some of the questions I have: 1) Can/Will the pro350 be upgradable to more powerful systems by replacing the 11/23 chip set with the DJ11 or micro- vax chips or boards. 2) Is the pro a dead product and headed toward the same fate as the famous GIGI, TRAX or other DEC products which don't catch on with the users? 3) How may pros is DEC shipping or have been installed The reason I ask this question is that everytime we think we would like to get in the professional in you start to wonder about the products future. The pro350 now looks like a good starting place for a higher powered micro but will the product be around in sereral years. Will DEC provide a future growth path for this product? I keep seeing a strong corp. effort on the Rainbow and the DECmate with mass marketing on those products, but I don't see the same happening on the Pro. I keep hearing the problems are solved, etc. but I am still unable to get a pro for evualtion purposes, and as such outr University still is only recommending the IBM PC family. Any comments, suggestions, flames are helpful. DEC Pro product folks, if you are listening can you help provide any comments?
