While General Instruments makes a number of quite useful chip sets, my experience has been that they are about the TOUGHEST company to deal with when it comes to small orders (i.e. < 10,000 units) and few outside distributers stock them. If anybody out there knows of a distributer willing to take small orders of GI products, please let me know! I used to be able to get various chips through a friend in the company, but he left GI and I no longer have a reasonable route for small purchases. Thanks much. --Lauren--

From: Chuck McManis <MCMANIS%USC-ECLC@sri-nic> Lauren, Try Pacsetter Electronics, they do require a minimum order of $25.00 for COD or a Purchase Order. I just recently got a couple of their speech synthesizer chips and they were quite friendly. --Chuck Pacesetter 3137 W. Warner Ave. G.I. Santa Ana, CA 92704 (213) 299-7760 -------
