[net.micro] GI chips

lauren%rand-unix@vortex.UUCP (10/23/83)

While General Instruments makes a number of quite useful chip sets,
my experience has been that they are about the TOUGHEST company to
deal with when it comes to small orders (i.e. < 10,000 units) and
few outside distributers stock them. If anybody out there knows
of a distributer willing to take small orders of GI products,
please let me know! I used to be able to get various chips through
a friend in the company, but he left GI and I no longer have a
reasonable route for small purchases. Thanks much.

Lauren,

Try Pacsetter Electronics, they do require a minimum order of
$25.00 for COD or a Purchase Order. I just recently got a couple
of their speech synthesizer chips and they were quite friendly.
