                    Mac Programmer

Stanford University's Knowledge Systems Lab seeks an individual to
provide development and support expertise for Apple Macintosh computers.
Duties include developing custom software, researching and advising about
vendor hardware and software products, and overseeing installation and
support of Mac hardware and software.  Facilities include 125
workstations (Mac II, TI Explorer, NeXT, and SUN), SUN/UNIX file
servers, and others on SUNet.

Qualifications include: programming skills with Macintosh and experience
using Mac computing tools (text processors, presentation graphics,
spreadsheets, networked resource use, and EMail); familiarity with Unix is
desirable.  Knowledgeable about installation & configuration of Macs in a
networked environment.  Motivated & able to learn easily new system tools,
techniques, & environments.  Able to work independently, excellent oral and
written skills.  To qualify at IV level, candidate must possess 4 years
applicable experience and demonstrated advanced knowledge of Mac 
programming
languages.
