[comp.sys.mac.programmer] Hmm. SFGetFile doesn't seem to be right...

Hello there again!

Last time I posted something to this group, I got oodles of replies and help.
So I thought I'd try my luck again! :-)

I'm using an SE with THINK C 4.0.2. My program is in the development stages,
and I'm trying out all the functions I need to call. The first thing that
basically happens in my program is an SFGetFile function call. But, something
weird happens when I run the program. The standard open file box comes up,
but it's empty. The cursor is still the watch, and the SuperClock! keeps the
time running (the seconds are displayed). Nothing will happen until I click
somewhere inside of the empty box. After I do that, the program behaves
normally - I can open the file and go on. Sometimes, I don't have to click,
either. It just works sometimes. Weird.

Anyone know what's going on? Did I leave something out? Is it a bug? I
would first think that it's me, because of my inexperience with programming
the Mac and using C. Anyway, please e-mail replies. Thanks!
