I have two questions. First: I am looking for some kind of general information book that will let me in on all the technical terminology that I'm running into these days about computer hardware, architechture, whatever. Something that defines terms like cache, interrupts, masks, etc. I'm not a beginning programmer, but instead I'm finding that my programming ability is being hampered somewhat because when I read documentation, I'm running into words like this and since I don't know what they *really* are, I get confused. I guess you could call it some kind of technical manual for the Macintosh. Any suggestions? Second: I'm using THINK C, 4.0.2. Are there any toolbox routines that are comparable to strcmp() in the ANSI library? Thanks. Please e-mail replies, unless there's interest. -- Chuck Urwiler University of Miami Music Engineering Voice & Keys =========================================================================== chuck@umiami -or @umiamivm (Bitnet) | "Sometimes the one thing that you're chuck@umiami.miami.edu (Internet) | looking for, is the last thing on chuck@miavax.ir.miami.edu (Internet) | your mind" -Robbie Nevil =========================================================================== Disclaimer: I only work and learn at this University.
