Hallo everybody. I'm Ben Haller, a programmer of slight repute (I wrote Solarian II, as well as a number of other less interesting things). I have written a very nice shell for Oth*llo (a game surprisingly similar to certain board games which are copyrighted). It works on all machines, in black and white and in color, calculates computer moves, backgrounds in MultiFinder, uses the Notification Manager, and is just generally awesome. I'm now looking for one of two things: 1. An algorithm that generates good computer moves in a short amount of time, which I could stick into the shell. 2. Another programmer who knows a lot about AI and could come up with such an algorithm, who I would send the source to, who would share the credits & shareware fees and such. Such a programmer would also have to be a fairly good Oth*llo player, it's safe to assume. Any advice/code/offers of any kind out there? Please send all stuff about this that you think I'd want to see directly to me. I haven't time to read the nets at all. Thanks. -Ben Haller (deadman@garnet.berkeley.edu)
