[net.micro] "?replace editor / get debugger for Apple Pascal 1.1"

FISCHER@RUTGERS.ARPA (10/26/83)

From: Ron <FISCHER@RUTGERS.ARPA>

My complaint about the UCSD system is: support is rather spotty.
Softech sells it and probably makes some reasonable amount of money,
but I guess that isn't enough to make them want to enhance the
system's capabilities.

The system seems small enough that it would be possible for someone to
modify the code and install new pieces, like a debugger.

Does anyone know if Softech will sell a source license? Or are they
just sitting it?

Is there a debugger out there anywhere?

As I remember, SofTech 4.0 has a debugger. The real probem with 4.0, and
the reason I don't use it, is that it is very, very slow; like at
coffee-break speeds. This is the penalty paid for having unlimited
units I suppose.

At any rate, SofTech will sell the source license.
