I have an application that needs to register itslef on an AppleTalk network. I am using the code in IM-IV and Inside AppleTalk. If AppleTalk is not running, the program continues without the network stuff as expected. How does one detect whether a network is present? I have been testing the code on a non-networked machine an using the Control Panel to tell the Mac that AppleTalk IS running. The code passes the MPPOpen call and proceeds to try and register itself on the network. It hangs miserably, but the mouse still seems to work (whoopee). Any comments on how to prevent this from happening would be greatly appreciated. -- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "If it ain't broke, don't fix it," and certainly don't blame me.
