I have been frustrated in trying to align my monitors with the control panel "monitors". I am using two 1024 X 768 monitors, which I would like to align side by side, so that their top and bottom edges are perfectly in line. I use the control panel "monitors" to align them. I restart, I look at the the "monitors" again. The two monitors are now slightly off! (I can do the same thing, but instead of restarting just select a different item in the control panel, then go back to "monitors".) The result(and symptom) of this misalignment,is that when I move the mouse to the very top right corner of the left monitor, it will not move to the right monitor: I must lower it slighly from the top to cross to the right monitor. This also affects the coordinates of the gray region, which in turn affects my programs. I have spoken to RasterOps, who make the video card(s) I am using. They say the drivers have nothing to do with it (which actually seems correct to me.) Has anyone had this problem? Is there some sort of fix for it? Who should I contact to get the problem resolved? p.s. You may be saying...she's obviously not aligning it perfectly in the "monitors" panel. I have witnesses....it really is aligned, and then becomes unaligned. Thank You for any advice. Jennifer jenlan@eos.arc.nasa.gov
