[comp.sys.mac.programmer] Mac assembly?

hookah@ucscb.ucsc.edu (Jeffori Arnold) (08/28/90)

In the beginning, I was the godly programmer in Applesoft BASIC (that's
apple //e-language folks.) -- I was writing all these evil programs and such,
and I wrote my own primative BASIC compression program; it lagged but it
actually did compress the thing a bit. Well now that I have a mac se/30, I
am learning C and I would just love to learn the ultimate low-level mac language
that gives me the most power over mr. mac - I am completely clueless as to what
this language is; is there some form of 68030 assembly? Surely! If so, does
anybody here have an estimate at how many decades it'll take for me to be
fluent in it? I gave a shot at 6052 or 6502 - whatever the IIe assembly is,
and i didn't get past page 100.. mind you, that was when I was 10. WELL anyhow,
alls I need to know is A, WHAT is the low-level language to do all the complex
hacks and such, B, is it humanly possible to learn it?, and C, about how long?

Maybe a D, what SOFTWARE do I have to purchase and how many C-notes do I need
to fork over for it for a compiler or whathave you?

Reply via mail or rn, no matter to me.
