I've talked to Tom Williams of Gnuplot, and he says that a Mac implementation is underway. This was some time ago, so maybe it's near completion by now. You could probably write pixar!info-gnuplot@sun.com for more information. By the way, I don't think Gnuplot has anything to do with FSF. I believe they have a disclaimer to that effect. GNUplot looks like a really nice plotting package from the free software foundation. Has anyone had a go at trying to compile it using Think C for the Mac? I have had a couple of attempts, but no success as yet. For that matter, has anyone tried to convert ANY of the FSF's programs to a Mac format? I realize that FSF does not like Apple for some reason or other, but that should not be any reason that us users should suffer-- *====*===*===*===*===*===*===*===*===*===*===*===*===*===*===*===* Phil Ryan ANU Department of Physics and Theoretical Physics Canberra, Australia pfr654@csc.anu.oz.au phone:(61 6) 249 4678 fax:(61 6) 249 0741

I am working on porting a GNU software package to THINK C. I recently posted an inquiry on this newsgroup about UNIX compatiblity and THINK C but I haven't received much help. A number of people wrote me and asked that if I get any info to pass it on, so it looks like a lot of folks are working in this vein. I looked at some mac archives on the net as well as on CI$, but no help there either. I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels that FSF stuff belongs on the Mac! -- Tom Maszerowski tcm@moscom.com {rutgers,ames}!rochester!ur-valhalla!moscom!tcm **NOTE changed addresses!!
