I don't suppose that anyone out there happens to know the format of the Users & Groups file that AppleShare uses to store names, passwords, groups, etc... in the Server folder of the server? I have a couple of ideas for programs that would run in the foreground of AppleShare that would require a login process similar to that employed by AS, and I'd hate to have to deal with several different password files (it just creates problems in a student lab situation when very novice mac users change their password on AS, and then don't understand why QuickMail doesn't recognize the new password) Any help out there? Is anyone from Apple listening? I'd be happy to sign a non-disclosure if that's what would be required, but I don't really see why they want to keep the file format proprietary.
