All the books I have seen regarding mac assembly all refer to some mystical device, the Resource maker (or resource compiler). The assembler/linker package I have has no such RMaker, and some of the sample code I got with it has resource information (for a window) at the bottom of the source file, and the compiler takes the whole lot at once. No mac assembly 'how-to' books seem to mention this method. What's the deal? Do I have to have the Rmaker, and if I do, do I have to buy it or is it available from someplace like sumex? I wanna know.... john ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- john m. burian | It doesn't matter how long it's | burian@barney.bgsu.edu | been, it's been too long. | | - Alan R. Dear John - RMaker is fairly well dead. The last engineering work was done on it back in the Spring of 1987 (I know because I was the product manager back then). If you are using MPW Assembler, then you should also have Rez, which is the new resource compiler. If you are not using MPW, I don't know where to send you. -- Jordan Mattson UUCP: jordan@apple.apple.com Apple Computer, Inc.
